Here is our favorite easy nacho cheese sauce recipe. A delicious nacho cheese sauce recipe with Velveeta and salsa that's tasty and simple to make. Great for nachos, as a chip dip or even poured over a foot-long chili dog! Enjoy and subscribe to get my newest recipes and gardening tips! Hillbilly Jilly ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Hillbilly Jilly Best Fresh Homemade Queso Cheese Dip Ingredients ● 1 1/2 pounds - about 4 or 5 medium sized fresh tomatoes cut in large chunks ● 1 onion diced ● 1/2 clove garlic minced ● 1/2 cup bell pepper diced – about half of a small bell pepper ● 1/4 cup hatch green chili – chopped, or small can of chopped green chilis ● 1 to 2 whole jalapenos – diced ● 2 tablespoons Hillbilly Jilly Homemade Salsa - optional ● 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds Velveeta – cut into 2-inch chunks Directions 1. Cut all ingredients to size and add to medium sized sauce pan 2. Bring to boil on medium heat – stirring frequently 3. Once boil is reached, reduce heat to low and simmer 30 to 35 minutes 4. Now add Velveeta a few chunks at a time stirring frequently 5. Once Velveeta is fully melted you’re ready to serve Note: You may optionally blanch tomatoes and remove skins. Be sure to stir vegetable mixture occasionally while simmering. One medium sized jalapeno with seeds typically makes a mild queso – increase for heat. Store in glass or ceramic dish covered in fridge.
